Meet the twins

Every bag of our Haute Nature granola has a story to tell. They each start with two sisters who shared a passion and many a summer day gathering marigold petals, fresh berries and healing herbs in the local woodlands and fields. From local organic farmer to foreign exporter they did go, searching out rare and cared for ingredients, making lasting friends along the way.

Then the finest ingredients of their kind divulged their secrets at the accomplished hands of Geneviève and Valérie. Designer blends began to sing with harmonious flavour — deep golden oats bellowed their earthy tones, roasted coconuts persisted on a nutty note, caramelized cranberries lifting them all to a supreme aroma until the neighbourhood sang with the unmistakable aroma of perfection.

People came to see, and taste, and feel the goodness, and the dance of decadent tastes was born — and the demand for more and more of their granola. La Fourmi Bionique was created and a range of ultra-healthy granolas with distinctive personality, Haute Nature granola.

2010: Geneviève Gagnon was awarded the title of ambassador from the Faculty of Communications of the University of Quebec in Montreal at the school's 40th anniversary on March 1st, 2010.

2009: The Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton Award for Success in Business, presented at the 11th Québec Entrepreneurship Contest Gala.

2005 : Finalist in the Desjardins Young Entrepreneur Contest - Western Quebec.

2005, 2007 and 2008 : Synergie Entreprise de l'Office Franco-québécois pour la jeunesse (OFQJ) program - grants to conduct 3 trade missions to France.

2004: First Prize in the Défi entrepreneur extrême; first prize in the manufacturing category at the local and regional level of the 6th edition of the Annual Quebec Entrepreneurship Contest.

2004: The Mayor of Montreal’s Youth Foundation (FMMJ) awarded a grant for her business venture.

2004: the CDEC Plateau Mont-Royal provided a business start-up grant (Jeunes Promoteurs).
